What is Asaan Library Management Software?
Asaan is simple library management software made for study libraries and self-study reading rooms. It replaces the fee register, the seat list and the notebook of expenses with one clean screen that you can open on your phone or computer.
You add your students once. After that, the software shows you who is due, who is overdue, how much you collected this month and what you spent, so you can run the library without chasing numbers.

What is library management software, and who is it for?
Library management software helps you run the daily work of a library: who has joined, which seat they use, what fee they pay, who is due, and how much you earned and spent. Asaan is built for study libraries, self-study reading rooms and similar places that charge students a monthly fee.
Does it work for a self-study library or reading room?
Yes. Each student has a seat, a monthly fee and a due date. You see who is due or overdue, collect a fee in one tap, and the next due date moves forward by one month.
How do I get started?
Fill in the form on this page with your library name and number of students. We will contact you, set up your library and share your login. You can then add students one by one or import them from an Excel file.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser on a phone or a computer. You can also add it to your phone's home screen or install it from Chrome, so it opens like an app.
How do WhatsApp fee reminders work?
Tap the reminder button next to a student and WhatsApp opens with the message already written, addressed to that student's number. You press Send yourself. Messages are not sent automatically or in bulk.
Can my staff use it, and what can they do?
Yes. You can create separate staff logins. Staff can add students, collect fees and add expenses. Changing or deleting a student or a payment needs your approval, so nothing important changes without you knowing.
Is my library's data safe, and who can see it?
Each library's data is kept separate from every other library. The admin login in the software cannot view your library's records. Passwords must be strong, and you can turn on two-step login with an authenticator app. We do not access your data unless you ask us for support or the law requires it.
Do I need to keep my own backup?
Yes. You are responsible for keeping backups of your data. The software makes it a one-click job: download everything as one Excel file, turn on a weekly automatic backup, and restore from a backup file whenever needed. Save the file on Google Drive or a pen drive.
Can I bring my existing students from Excel?
Yes. Download the template, fill in your students and import the file. You can also export your students to Excel at any time.
What happens if I have more than 180 students?
We can make a custom plan for larger libraries. Use the form below, tell us how many students you have, and we will suggest a plan.
How does billing work?
Plans are monthly subscriptions based on the number of students: ₹299 for up to 60, ₹399 for up to 120 and ₹499 for up to 180 students. We share the payment details when we set up your library.
